Qatar Pavillion

Pavilion Design, Concept Development and Construction and Build Management

The Desert Nest exhibition is inspired by nature and life in the desert, offering a forward-thinking vision for sustainable ways to live in harmony with the environment. The design of the pavilion was inspired by the well-known ‘pigeon towers’ of the country. These towers originally provided a resting place in the desert for pigeons on migration. Qatar uses 3D printing with sustainable materials to build their pavilion. To discover the greenification that Qatar envisions, to transform a desert to a fertile land full of vegetation, as the perfect base for a healthy city.
